For 20 years now, I take interest
in the question of the constancy of the natural forces.
I have formulated my thoughts and
perceptions on this in various scripts, (the first one in 1986 „are the
natural constants really constant?”, and then in sequence, synchronous
to the progress of cognition).
The latest edition was set up in
May 2001, under the title „The cosmic time – key to a new world
model-",
www.cosmictime.de The target of this contribution shall be to
confront
my recognitions so far to the present state of knowledge, and to
deliberate
especially those results of research which can be brought into
accordance
with my own imaginations and hypotheses. As can be shown, the
"presumptive
evidences" for the correctness of the "Cosmic Time Hypothesis" (CTH)
have
meanwhile become so conclusive , they simply cannot be ignored any
longer.
The power featured by the CTH also is expressed by the new,
unconventional
solutions it proposes for such fundamantal topics as „unification of
natural
forces and „cosmological constant“ or „energy of the vacuum”,
respectively,
which still belong to the big unsolved questions of theoretical
physics.
It answers (among others), some questions essential for this:
·
Why was, at the Planck time( »
10 -43 seconds after the big bang),
the
gravitation force and the strong nuclear force equally strong?
·
Why is that vacuum density, deducible from the elementary particles
physics,
by the factor 10 120 larger than that
value
resulting from observations, and which consequences has this for the
cosmological
constant?
·
Which physical meaning has the vacuum energy density or the
cosmological
constant, resp.?
Apart from this, the CTH solves
additional basic problems of theoretical physics and cosmology and
hereby
relieves it from unnecessary ballast.
·
It solves the main problems of the big bang theory ( problems of the
horizon,
of galaxy formation, of planarity and of world age).
·
The inflationary model thereby loses ist right of existence.
·
It prooves , the expanding (plane) universe is long-term stable
(according
to the physics valid today, it would be highly instable)!
·
It supplies a convincing physical reason for the hypothesis of the
Earth
expansion, which could not find general acceptance in geophysics until
today.
Finally, the CTH also explains some
phenomena of the observing astronomy in a simple and natural way:
·
The plane space-time perceptible within the limits of the observable
universe.
·
The observable continuous new formation of stars and galaxies from
"unsoiled"
hydrogen everywhere in the cosmos.
·
The fact we see less matter in the universe than would be necessary for
a plane space-time.
·
The star formation rate decreasing with time, following from
observations.
·
The discrepancy between distance and red shift of type Ia supernovae in
far galaxies resulting from measurements.
On the basis of its inner
consistency
and simplicity, the CTH also suffices the aesthetical requirement which
any basic theory should fulfil.
