In a ball-shaped body like our
Earth,
held together by the gravitation force, between radius and gravitation
pressure there exists the relation presented in Fig. 11 below.

That means, a volume increase or
radius increase, respectively, triggered by any cause, releases an
over-
proportional pressure decline. This pressure decline leads to phase
changes
and chemical transformations of the earth material which in turn
release
a volume increase and further decrease the pressure over-
proportionally.
This is a self- amplifying physical
process with non- linear feedback as known from the chaos theory.
If such a process proceeds at
moderate
pace or if it leads into a catastrophe is defined by the pressure-
volume
dependency on various influence parameters (material properties of all
materials contained in the Earth body, chemism, phase transformations
and
exothermal processes related hereto etc. We can assume, it proceeds
unspctacularly
in the inner Earth on one hand, but in intervals at very different
speeds
on the other hand. This is also proved by changes of the rotation delay
of the Earth by means of historical reports on sun eclipses [32], Fig.
12 on p. 26.
